Why Sardinia? And why now?

A few years ago, Anbu started having more and more health issues – immunity, breathing. It kept getting worse, until a year ago an immunologist diagnosed him with a severe vitamin D deficiency. His body was literally asking for sun. He takes supplements, so it's better now, but still – a bit more sun and warmth is something we probably all miss :-)

At the same time, we started to feel that something in our life was meant to change. That we needed new energy, a new direction.

Even though Anbu loves winter and snow, he's always missed the sea – he grew up by it, and a bit of that love rubbed off on all of us.

At first, we said – maybe we'll just go somewhere for a year or two. So the kids can experience living elsewhere. But the more we planned it, the more we realized: we don't want a break. We want a real change. The idea of saying goodbye to Jelení (Ore mountains, Czech republic) forever was hard.

It's a place full of stories, children, friends. Still, we went for it, closed our eyes and put it up "for sale". In the end, thanks to the support of our guests, we realized that maybe we don't have to give it up at all. Maybe this story can grow – not end.

First came the idea of a cooperative, but it was hard to make it happen. Many people discouraged us or didn't understand. There weren't enough serious candidates. We kept thinking, until we came up with the idea of a convertible loan. People lend us money, and they can choose whether they get it back as a special stay or in cash.The reaction was amazing – everyone we told was excited! We felt this was it. We called it "Klub Mezi Jeleny" – and it's happening! It works :-)

Another common question – why Sardinia? :-) Why not India?

India, where Anbu is from, would be difficult for Alice and probably the kids – heat, humidity, totally different conditions. We needed to stay in Europe – also, moving horses and alpacas isn't exactly easy. And we love Italian culture, language, and people. Anbu has a personal connection to Italy and close friends here. We thought about Sicily, but it's drier and hotter – too much for our animals. Sardinia kept coming up in our talks. Clean sea, beautiful beaches, ancient culture. Something about this place was calling us. We had never been there before.

So we went last September… and fell in love.

And then something unexpected happened – we discovered a farm.

Not just any farm – a magical place with olive trees, peace and quiet, and people who welcomed us with open hearts. A family who wanted us to take over their legacy – to care for the land, the trees, the animals. They felt joy that it might be us. And we felt it too.

Suddenly, everything made sense.

It wasn't an escape.

It was a new direction.

Together, we'll keep Mezi Jeleny alive and bring the yurts to life among the olive trees in Sardinia.

In return for your support, you'll receive 50 nights at unique places – where you'll always be welcome.

At the request of several of you – and after consulting with a lawyer – we've decided to offer the option of paying in several installments.

The total amount can be split over up to 5 months (or according to individual agreement).

The important part: the first payment should be at least €400, and the full amount must be completed by the end of October.

This option is available for now during June – then we'll see how it goes.

We actually feel that it's exactly these people who will benefit from and appreciate the club the most.

How to do it?

Just fill out the regular application form and add "split payment" in the comment section – feel free to include your idea of how you'd like to pay.

We'll prepare the contract for you, but it will only become fully valid once the full amount has been paid.

Our yurts are between olive trees – quiet, cozy and full of peace.
